Tuesday: Felting is Fun! We will offer up a Nuno Felting class, 2 yard cuts and wool are included in this class. You decide how big you want to go!

Nuno Felting Class: Retreat

March 20 kicks off a week of Fiber and Arts fun! Nuno is the art of silk and wool blending. We use the wet felt process to create unique textiles. The silk is light and provides the perfect canvas for wool. We use fine merino, alpaca, mohair and other wools for blending. Class includes supplies.


Wednesday: In the Dye Studio…Follow the Sheepwalk to Jennifer’s dye studio and spend a day with color, texture, and creativity. Meet the sheep, enjoy a day in the country and go home with some fun yarn that you dyed! Class is all day from 9-4 with a one hour lunch break. The first half of the class will be focused on color theory and play. The second half of the class will be putting your imagination to work creating your one-of-a-kind outcome. Yarn to over-dye are welcome but near the end of class.

Celtic Trees of Love Cables Pillow: Custom designed cabled project using modern pattern work and old world technique with plenty of love. Sandy has come up with a timeless piece using The Sheepwalk’s Merino 6/4 Worsted yarn. Students will be given a list of what to bring prior to class start.

This cabled pillow class is 100% unique with Sandy as your teacher, designer and custom hand dyed yarn from The Sheepwalk. The pillow will be made in Merino 6/4 Worsted yarn. We will send you a list of tools to bring! Pillow will be revealed in January!


Colors in Weave: Ever wanted to do more than just straight weave? Turn your Rigid Heddle in to your favorite go to for color work with this simple log cabin design. We will use hand dyed yarn for this class so be prepared to have fun! Pre-Req: Rigid Heddle Beginner Weaving.

Saturday, March 24, Fiber Festival Classes

Class 1: Sorting/Prepping Fiber, 10-11 am. We will take various fibers and show you how to skirt, sort and prep for cleaning your fiber. $35

Class 2: Spinning Yarns, 1-2 pm. Pick up your spindle or bring a wheel and we will guide you in spinning fiber in to yarn. $35

Tabby’s Irish Blessing Shawl will be taught using Merino 6/2 Fingering but available to knit in Linen as well. What makes this project so special to Sandy is her the inspiration her daughter brings to her. The pattern incorporates cables for detail work and lace to bring the lightness and loveliness to the shawl.
