I decided that there wasn’t enough time to knit up a shop full of cabled ornaments so I opted to test my new Flip Stix from Addi and create Mardi Gras bobbles to hang in the window. The difference is the yarn I chose and the Flip Stix are so light you barely care you are on double points. I am using Fingering Merino to get the sheen and elasticity. These are brain teasers of the best kind.
Now a comment on the Flip Stix. One end is a sharp point and the other more blunt. All you have to do is flip the stick and you decide how you want to knit! The color coding does help since I tend to forget to put a marker at the start.
